Step 1
Medical documents and tests
Initial advice and preparation of medical tests and contracts.
Step 2
First trip to Mexico
The intended parent(s) will travel to Mexico City and will visit the fertility clinic. They will sign the corresponding contracts, and will provide their genetic material. The legislation does not require that either intended parent contribute their genetic material, but it is highly recommended for the future.
Step 3
The surrogate mother’s preparation
The clinic has an extensive database of surrogate mothers who meet the strictest medical criteria. Prior to the embryo transfer, the clinic will again perform medical tests on the surrogate and a process of medical preparation for pregnancy.
Step 4
IVF and embryo transfer
Generally, in-vitro fertilization will be performed with an anonymous donor and the sperm of one of the intended parents.
Step 5
Pregnancy monitoring
If a pregnancy is achieved, the clinic itself will coordinate the follow-up. Our agency will keep the Intended Parents informed at all times of the results of each test, including ultrasounds.
Step 6
Birth, civil registration and passport
After birth the baby will be registered in the name of the intended parent(s). Later our agency will take care of obtaining the passport for the newborn.
Step 7
Back home
We’re finally going home! Depending on the country of destination, we may have to go through additional processes such as filiation or adoption.
